Pride of South India actress Trisha makes her debut in Kannada commercial venture ‘Power***’. For Trisha making debut in very good commercial film beginning is important than focusing in offbeat kind of film in the debut.


This is what I did in Telugu and Tamil when I started my career 12 years ago she remembers. After 12 years I am in Kannada with ‘Power ***’ a remake of Telugu film.  It is only after I signed the film in Kannada watched Telugu film. I did not do as it is but given my flavor and touch says Trisha.


With a bizarre of successful films in Tamil and Telugu the much sought after actress is known for performances in Ghilli, Ayudha Ezhuth, Nuvvostanate Nenvoddantana, Abhiyum Naanum, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, Jessi, Manmadhan Ambi and several others this pretty actress is always want to re-invent from film to film.


Hailing from Malayalam background living in Chennai this ‘Palakkad Pageant’ is in full zoom of her career. This Iyer girl still bachelor surprisingly has not acted in one Malayalam film so far.  


A few of the journalists tracked Trisha after her formal address at ‘Power***’ promotion. Here are the excerpts.


·         It is amazing for me in Bangalore that fans remember my character role in films and I very happy for that.

·         In a place like Bangalore all language movies are screened so to know the audience of my films in Telugu and Tamil give me immense pleasure.

·         A remake is a minimum risk yet the audiences are final movers and shakers.

·         There is no obvious reason for not doing a Kannada film, nothing intentional. I was looking for right debut and good scale of a film. My debut Samy in Tamil and Varsham in Telugu were big ones. I was looking for the same kind of scale in Kannada. I want to do similar kind of big role in Malayalam.

·         I would always try to reinvent myself. I wanted to do an action film and one of the producers passed away. It is stalled. I am looking forward for historical film.

·         I think I have done only 20 percent of variety compared to others who have done all kind of roles.

·         Working with Puneeth Rajakumar was extremely good. He is the so far best one I have acted. No filmy feel, very casual, intelligent, he knows what he can do; coming from big family of films with super star image he is cool on sets.

·         I have done one Hindi movie ‘Khatta Meeta’ with Akshay Kumar. Somehow one step here and there is not possible.
